A quick summary. For the complete legal detail, see our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Yes — every feature is free. New accounts receive complimentary credits, and everyone's balance refreshes automatically each Friday.
We never collect or display photographs anywhere on the Service. Compatibility is weighed on deen, character and intention — lowering the gaze from the very first step, in shaa Allah.
Anyone at least 18 years old, legally able to enter a binding agreement, and sincerely seeking marriage upon the Sunnah. Beyond the identity verification described below, we don't independently verify anyone's deen, madhab, or level of practice — you're responsible for making your own enquiries about someone before relying on what's in their profile.
You upload a copy of a government-issued ID (a passport, national ID card, or driving licence), and our team compares it against your profile before granting the gold "Verified" seal. It's a point-in-time identity check — it confirms who you are, not your character, intentions, or religious sincerity, so use your own judgment either way, verified or not.
No — you can use the Service without it, but we encourage it. Getting verified builds trust with every family you connect with, since it gives them more confidence they know who they're really speaking with.
It's used only to compare against your profile, and is deleted no later than 30 days after a decision is made. We keep a limited record that a check happened — not the document itself — so the "Verified" badge can be displayed and audited.
Every sister's profile includes a wali record — his name, phone number, and relationship to her. It's never shown while browsing or before a match. It's disclosed only once an interest has been mutually accepted, to the brother she's matched with. From that point, further contact — including with the wali — happens outside the app, typically by phone or WhatsApp.
No. We don't verify a wali's identity, their relationship to the user, or their willingness to be contacted. Both sides are expected to do their own due diligence once a match is accepted.
It's deleted.
No — MawaddaWaRahma has no chat feature. Interest and conversation flow through the families, never in private, never alone. Once a match is accepted, and wali information is shared where applicable, any further contact happens outside the platform, between the families themselves.
Only eligible brothers and sisters looking for marriage can see each other's profiles, once a profile is complete. If you pause your profile, others see only a reduced version — name, age, city, and occupation — unless they already have an active or pending interest with you.
Yes — any profile can be reported with a reason and description. Our team reviews every report and can restrict, suspend, or remove an account as needed.
Sending an interest costs one credit. New accounts start with a number of complimentary credits, and everyone's balance tops up automatically every Friday, up to a cap. Browsing, saving favorites, and viewing profiles don't cost anything.
An optional, one-time paid upgrade that permanently raises your weekly credit top-up and your maximum balance. It's a single payment, not a subscription — it doesn't renew or expire while the Service is running.
No. We don't use your data for advertising and we don't sell it to anyone. We don't run analytics or ad-tracking technologies on the Service.
Your profile disappears and its personal details are cleared, your wali record is deleted, and any pending or accepted interests end. Anything else tied to your account is kept only briefly — no more than 12 months — and only where needed for support, safety or legal reasons, then permanently removed. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
